Since beginning his surgical research career in 2010, Dr Lambers has contributed significantly to the field, with over 20 paper publications and 40 podium presentations at state, national and international conferences. His research work has been cited over 900 times by other research articles. He holds two research degrees and is currently pursuing a PhD focused on alloy metallurgy and fatigue failure in hip fractures. His work has earned numerous accolades, including the Melbourne University Professorial Research Award and the AOA WA Branch Scientific Meeting Research Prize. Most recently, Dr Lambers was awarded the Francis & Phyllis Thornell-Shore Medical Research Scholarship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, which supports his current PhD studies.
Dr Lambers has also been actively involved in the peer-review process, serving as a reviewer for international orthopaedic journals such as the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (Case Connector & Essential Surgical Techniques), the ANZ Journal of Surgery, and the British Medical Journal (Case Reports).
